SAN DIEGO – Tomorrow, Councilmember Vivian Moreno (District 8) will host a Community Vaccination Event in San Ysidro, along with Family Health Centers of San Diego.
Councilmember Moreno and volunteers have walked door-to-door to over 2,500 homes in the San Ysidro community, providing information for people needing help making vaccination appointments, and offering resources for City related assistance including rental relief. 600 people were vaccinated at the vaccination clinic on April 17 in San Ysidro and tomorrow’s vaccination event will provide the second dose to those previously vaccinated.
Family Health Centers of San Diego is providing vaccinations and vaccinators along with volunteer nurses from the Sweetwater Union High School District. Additional assistance, along with hosting the vaccination site was provided by the San Ysidro School District.
